Dublin Sights, Sounds and Hotels

Just to the south of Dublin lies the town of Glendalough, nestling between two lakes in the lovely Wicklow Mountains. The picturesque town is famous for the 6th century monastery founded by St Kevin, who had lived only in trees, or a cave, but surrendered his isolation to his followers. The cave to which the holy man often returned is situated not far from the monastery at Upper Lake. The Teampall na Scellig, is on the shore of the lake and is a small edifice that can only be reached by boat and was used for private devotion.

As if there isn't enough entertainment in Dublin city, there's still so much more! The great thing is that you can stay in one of the fine Dublin hotels and still enjoy the attractions of Dublin's neighbouring Glendalough.
