Dallas Sights, Sounds and Hotels
Dealey Plaza in Dallas is where the thousands of curious visitors gather to gaze up at the ‘Sniper’s Perch’, on the Texas School Book Depository’s Sixth floor, from where Lee Harvey Oswald fired his assassin’s bullet that killed President Kennedy on 22nd November, 1963. Directly opposite Dealey Plaza is the grassy knoll from which it is widely believed a second gunman fired on that ill-fated day in Dallas forty years ago. On Main and Market Streets, just a short walk from Dealey Plaza is the austere Cenotaph designed by President Kennedy’s friend Philip Johnson as a personal tribute to the man.
You can view the live webcam of Dallas' Dealey Plaza, but it's nothing like the real thing! Start planning your trip to Dallas by booking into any of the fine Dallas Hotels.
